How about we make a list with all the different cars whose rims fit our Saabs? Not necessarily a direct fit, but also with spacers, etc...

I'll start off with the ones I know:

rear handbrake C900/9000

-Ford Escort, Focus, Sierra)
-Audi 80
-Peugeot 206, 306
-Citroen Xsara and other
-...

GM900/9-3/9-5

-Opel/Vauxhall Vectra (obviously)
-...

I have no direct experience of this myself, but was once reliably told that ford rims upto 16" will fit the 900/9000 but 17" wont fit. Quite why I dont know. Can anyone shed any light on this one for us??

who told you that  lots of people put 17's on 900's and 9000s. GM has 18"s on his C900, and they seem to work just fine to me, and look damn good too

That was an aftermarket rim.

If this is Ford rim specific it may be due to the offset used on OEM wheels.

I think this topic is well discussed within the appropriate forums [it is in the ng900 & 9-3 forums anyhow, we save a fortune by utilising Vauxhall Opel fitment  ]

Ford Mondeo/Contour
Mercury Mystique
Mercury/Ford Cougar

Check the offset, but the bolt pattern is the same. 4x108

Wheels and handbrakes were changed on the C900 in 1988

Pre '88 is 4x108
Post '88 is 4x114.3

4x108 also fits the Ford Focus and the MGB

keep it around a 25-30mm offset and you should be ok (some of the Foci rims go up to 48mm offset)

For C900's I think the main thing is that wheel hubs from 88-93 have BOLTS where as 79-88 have NUTS. The wheels from 88-93 have grooves to fit bolts, where as the 79-88 wheels are flush to allow for the nuts. That has been my experience anyways.

And also, I believe 86-98 9000's wheels fit on 88-93 C900's (front handbrake). That is what I've gathered over the years.

'88 to '93 C900s are rear handbrake. I can confirm that 16" super aeros off a 9000 fit a '91 C900 :cheesy: 8)

99s & early C900s compatible with Reliant Scimitar GTE (14" very offset rims) and Triumph TR6 (15" very offset rims). Same must also apply to 96 Sport/MC850...
