Maybe it's just because I'm used to the 996, but this one looks less rakish in the front, and more rakish in the back. More like the air-cooled versions, with the relatively upright windshield and headlights.

So I think it looks better than the 996.

ahhh, those wheels that we hoped would not be on the car end up on the s version...what will the turbo version look like?

It looks like the car that would succeed the 993 than the 996. I like it a lot, but I was hoping a little more evolution in the design from the 993 and 996, but it seems for the 997 it has taken one step back and looking more like the 993. At least it finally has a nicer interior and the 993 Turbo-style bulging fenders is back.

Now, where's the new Boxster?

I for one love it....the air dam is so much simpler and more integrated into the design of the car...less like a mid 90's Ford than the 996...

My favorite Porsches were always the air-cooled years, so I'm glad to see a nod towards the 993 body.

As for the Boxster, I've seen some shots and some computer mockups...I'm excited about the coupe...a true successor to the 912 (almost 911 style, good performance, affordable) and it's supposed to be cheaper than the cabrio!
