: sputtering?

I've been having a slight sputtering problem recently that comes and goes. It almost seems like it the gas that is causing this problem. I've been putting in 93, but it seems like it might just be the gas i'm putting in. The problem rarely occurs while driving, and is most noticable while idleing or at low revs.

Have you tried cleaning the throttle body? I manged to smooth some surging problems this way.

You can clean it with carb cleaner gets rid of the tar/ burnt oil deposits and helps the moving bits to move and seat properly.

Take off the plastic cover surrounding the dipstick, remove the big pipe from the top of the throttle body (keep o ring safe for re fitting, clean inside pot with carb cleaner, you can squirt some carb cleaner while she's running too, wipe with lint free cloth. Make sure o ring is back in place and pipe is securely refitted after! A split o ring can cause this too as the seal is broken.

You are right though poor fuel can upset this too
