suyoungman 30-04-04, 07:09 PM looks alright~
still think it's best to change the entire corner piece.
sjhudon 30-04-04, 07:11 PM change what entire piece? you mean the solid black piece? ... it looks better now, had a chance to settle in, that was right after it dried.
CallipNCSUsaab 30-04-04, 08:45 PM I think it looks really good on your car... of course with steel gray like mine, it would probably look pretty bad. Why is it hard for aftermarket parts to be out.. come on auto industry I am tired of waiting for... well, all parts at a good price.
M4Gunner 01-05-04, 01:59 AM i think if you did it as dark as mine on your steel metalic, it would look HOT!! i dont know if you saw the pics of mine before, but if you didnt, PM me or reply to this and ill email you them.
sjhudon 03-05-04, 07:39 PM Did you smoke yours too, or use some kind of paint? Mine has settled in a lot now, they look even nicer I think...

M4Gunner 04-05-04, 04:20 AM i smoked mine, i just did more coats than you did (from what i can tell)
sjhudon 04-05-04, 10:56 AM Yea I only did One coat (touched up during the drying phase to get the whole lense... (drying phase was 8 hours though...) Next project (The Calipers) 8)
M4Gunner 04-05-04, 11:15 AM 8 hours?? what did you use? i used nightshades, drying phase was about 15 minutes, then a few coast of clearcoat.
sjhudon 04-05-04, 11:32 AM I stuff I used is called VHT Smoke Spray... it is intended to "tint windows" though I wouldn't recommend that!
Works well on the sidemarkers, takes 8 hours to cure.

Also used a clear coat when finished (picked that up a Lowes)
Stories From the City 20-05-04, 01:43 PM Same product really. VHT makes both.
so which is better cause i want to do it now that i have money?
sjhudon 25-05-04, 02:49 PM personal choice i guess, i like the one that drys slower...
Has anyone smoked their taillights yet?
other then the time it takes to dry, what is the difference between the two?

No idea... probably pretty similar, just depends on how many coats you use. I love the way it looks now, so much smoother. just try it out, you can always wipe it off with some paint thinner.
