Hello all,

I thought I might share with you the road trip I had today to scope out the territory for the SaabCentral trip that will take place at the 1000 Islands on June 6th. This thread will contain pictures of my car and various points throughout the day. I will post a couple of pictures specific to the locations related to the meet on the thread in the related Events thread.

The consumption is excellent for long distance trips. I haven't seen anything this low in my car to date.

I did manage to attain a new top speed of 180 km/h.

However, I was not able to manage it for that long due to traffic:

I did manage to stop off on the Thousand Islands Parkway to take some scenic photographs. Believe it or not, I didn't polish the car yet, and it still has the wet polish look from when it left the dealership in December:

Up to this point in time, I have not done anything with the car except for taking it through Touchless Premium car washes at my local Esso and Shell stations. So, what you see is what I got from the dealership.

180 km/h? my 2.0L 1989 900S could be fine tooling along next to you :cheesy: though if you upped it 10 km/h you might have to wait an hour for me to match 190 :oops:

Thanks.....I like the car very much. It has been performing flawlessly with no problems since my Jan. Power Steering issue which really was a factory oversight then anything else.

To get from 180 km/h to 190 km/h...wouldn't take that long because the turbo performs well in the higher speeds.

I can't wait to show it off to all that will be attending the June 6th, Thousand Islands tour.

You just have to know when and where to do it. It is difficult to keep it for long as you can't trust the drivers to not get in your way in front of you and there is just to much truck traffic.

If we had driver discipline, it would be a whole lot easier. :-)
