You can post your pictures in the SS workshop. You don't have to post them in the tuning forum. :)

Nice car!!!
Can you please give us some more details on the Hirsch tuning..
how much is the overboost?
How do you feel the car?

28th March 2004, 07:36 AM
the overboost is 20 sec. activ,(always)
it goas from 330Nm to 350Nm
they said that te overboost is permanent activ....

the feeling is excelent!! :! thats they best thing i ever make to a car!!

cost 1700 sFr. (with montage)
and the best, no warranty problem

I dont maike te Dyno...

I can only sai that a friend of mine have e BMW330, he has no chance against mi with step1 8)

28th March 2004, 07:47 AM
So this cost you almost 1100 euros...not so good, but not so bad either..
Do you know anything about the other Hirsch upgrade for the Aero?
They say something about 250hp....I've been hearing it since I got my aero,10 months ago...
Have you heard anything?????(when,hp,cost....)

28th March 2004, 07:56 AM
Yes, the step2 is now her, 252hp 370Nm with overboost

the exhaust will also be separat ordering, aprox. 2000sFr. + 10hp

*Price for programming the car's own ECM. If desired the tuning
can be delivered incl. ECM for EUR 3.500.- / CHF 5.250.-.
:o :nono; Modification :Software Upgrade ECM T8, Intercooler, stainless
Steel-Exhaust-System from catalyst on ;
(excl. MwSt. und Einbau / excl. VAT and installation)

So if I got it right, they are using another ecu upgrade, not like the one you have, with a new ic and a cat-back exaust....
and they ask for 3500e without the cat-back, tax and installation....right?
For the full package would be
3500 + 1300(exaust)+ tax + installation = :nono; :nono; TOO MUCH....

What wheels are those?

28th March 2004, 01:06 PM
those wheels are made by hirsch.

28th March 2004, 01:16 PM
The only thing I don't like about Hirsch is that they are so expensive. Of course, when you have support from Saab, you can be a more expensive and get away with it.

I wish they would bring Hirsch products over to the States.

28th March 2004, 03:22 PM
You don't have support by saab worldwide, only by Saab Hirsch Centers i Switzerland. They cover all faults related to engine and drivetrain but you can't go to a saab dealer in another coutry and get it fixed on waranty.

Well its interesting to know that Saab will approve a 252hp upgrade without mods to the internals of the engine. All is well for the BSR PPC then.

Saab has not approved any Hirsch tuning for the 9-3 SS so far. The warranty is given by Hirsch.

I suppose it gives the driver the extra power. When does the power come in, in low rev, mid range?

What the the performance difference between hirch 230hp upgrade and hirch 230hp with over boost?

A lot of those fuzzy logic boost controller (hks, greddy etc.) have overboost functions where you get an extra 1-2 psi of boost over a short interval, on the fuzzy logics you hit a button, on the Hirsch it's probably activated when you floor the gas pedal.
