I wonder what stage 4 consists of. 300 hp! It would be nice to know if any mods have been done to the engine's internals to get there.

BBK = Big Brake Kit

I don't know if the Speedparts one is a rebadged Brembo, but I like it :) Not sure what BSR is using.

You should get the CH wheels Chris, I am sure you'll be able to sell your current ones without too much trouble. The thing is getting hold of set from BBS NA. I mean from your earlier post there seemed to be a 18x8.5, 5x110 fitment for the CH though noone here can get it (at least so far as I've looked). The 18x8 that Nick is stocking is actually a 5x108 with a special mounting kit that makes it work on our cars.

Oh really. I didn't know that about the 18x8's. It does show 18x8 and 18x8.5 on BBS.de. I emailed BBSUSA about the LM's awhile back. I saw them on Nordic's car. 19x8.5. So I went back and forth trying to find info out. They finally said that the 19x8.5 were 5x112, and you have to use a special hub ring and bolts. I just don't like the sound of that.

Why couldn't SAAB use a 5x100 or 5x112 pattern. :x

No problems with using 112/5 on Saab with special hubrings and bolts. Been doing it for 2 years now. Have the 18*8.5 as many others do here in sweden. The same with the 19". Nordic has them on all of their cars on several occasions. If it's works for them, it works for me :D

Where can you buy special hub rings to adapt to the current 9-3 SS format? Does it have to be custome made?

No, most of the time the manufacturer will supply them. BBS had part #s for mounting kits for the SAAB for the wheels I checked that weren't quite 5x110. Of course, how this will affect the suspension in the long run is another issue, but as Johnken mentioned I don't think it will be a problem.

SAAB and Opel are the only ones that use a 5x110 bolt pattern. This is why it is so hard to find wheels for our cars.

VW/Audi 5X100/5X112
BMW 5X120
Most American cars 5x100/5X114.3
Most Japanese cars 5X114.3

I was talking to BSR today and it seems the PPC also works on Turbocharged Vauxhalls/Opels! :o Looks like GM are sharing Saab's turbocharged technology around the GM group!

There are 5x108, 5x112 and indeed 5x110 versions of the CH wheels. Of course some are harder to come by that others. I managed to get hold of a set of 5x110 and I will post a detailed report when I receive them and mount on my SS. Either of the other two will also work and BBS has mounting kits that make them work on our cars.

really? looks darker in the pics on their website. now i'm reconsidering an arc since c.b. wasn't available on the vector. nocturne blue is just too dark. i wish they had an anthracite.

the '03 arc is a 5spd manual correct? and if so there where no issues with that gearbox right?

finklejag

03 Arc's were 6 speeds. They have the same problems as all the other 6 speeds.
