About 6 months ago, bought another Saab (82 4 door hatch turbo - no apc) and am loving it as my daily driver.

What are some mods that I could do to increase performance?

I'm thinking 3" exhaust, perhaps dropping TE-05 into it, upgrading suspension & brakes. But what else?

Brakes needn't be upgraded unless you really pump up the performance - they use OE brakes in Saab 900 racing series, so no problem if you have good pads and brake fluid.

Suspension: Add lowering springs and sport shocks from Koni or Bilstein or the likes.

Engine:
1.Fit intercooler
2.Fit exhaust (has to be a turbo-off system)
3.Add manual boost controller
4.Fit water injection

With those mods you can get to about 200 hp, which is the limit for the injection system. After that point you need a fifth injector or something similar.

you got the old non-vented brakes. I would suggest an upgrade to the vented 86-87 front handbrake 900 brakes. You can swap the calipers + the discs, and get a much better braking system!
