Will there be a reasonably priced connector and Windows PC software that gives access to the Tech 2 features in Saabs? (I have the Ross-Tech Vag-Com connector plug and software, which can do almost anything to newer Audis and VWs, and the price was $200.)
Not while the Saab dealers can make money out of us by charging to have simple T2 changes made. :-?
But Audi dealers charge big bucks for the same kinds of changes, and that's why Ross-Tech sells the cheap Vag-Com clone.
I'm just wondering if GM has figured out a way that prevents average people from getting access to all the Tech 2 stuff.
I watched a Saab tech program my '04 93 that was in the parking lot, and once she connected the Tech 2 she needed to go back to the service area to get an authorization.

AFAIK, You can buy a tech-II, but you need software which isn't easily available. Thanks to the DCMA you can reverse-engineer the software to make your own to do the same thing. So I wouldn't hold my breath for anyone coming out with something cheaper that will do customizations to your car.
However, you will be able to plug in something and get engine performance data, like you can on every other car...
