Had some time this weekend to do the install on the Saab mud flaps I ordered. I got both the front and the rear sets, and started the day working on the rears.
After removing the rear wheel, access to the three screws on the edge of the wheel well that are used is quite easy. You simply remove the three factory screws, fit the flap into place, and use the supplied (longer) screws to install the flap.

After:
You probably notice the fourth screw near the back. This is the only place where I had any difficulty with the supplied instructions/parts. You drill a hole there and a plastic snap is supplied. I could not get the supplied snap to hold tightly so I simply replaced it with a nut & bolt and a couple of washers. Worked perfectly.

The next project is the fronts ... and comparing the instructions to the car itself brings up a number of questions. I have three holes, one in use on the edge of the rim of the wheel well and two on the liner, that line up perfectly with the three holes in the mudflap. It looks like one could use three clips to install the flap easily. However, the instructions paint a totally different story and the kit includes a bracket of some kind that is supposed to be installed as well as the flap. I don't even see where it goes!! I'm going to the dealer this week and see if I can get some of the clips (the holes are slightly larger than the snaps that are provided in the kit) and give that a try. It sure looks like that's all that is necessary!! More on this part of the saga later ...
Cheers!!
