: Throttle Body Hoses.
Hey guys,
We just finished replacing a head gasket, and are putting the car back together, but can't remember where one of the vac lines goes from the throttle body. ;oops:

The vac line in question is the yellow one. It popped off while taking everything apart and we cannot figure out where it goes. Any tips?
Blue aero 08-01-12, 08:33 PM I don't see a pic- just me?
Here's a link of the pic.

wahhabm 18-01-12, 02:27 AM Hi I was reading your posts here that means my vacuum lines are jacked up. I just got this car and I replaced based on what I saw and I think someone before me must have F***** up. Ok so where does the line that has the check valve from the valve cover connect to. Actually does anyone have photos of all the vacuum lines and their connections. No I have zero confidence in mine. No wonder it goes in limp mode immediately after I start it. It didn't do it before, but the lines were broken and leaky.
zoli.m13 18-01-12, 11:03 AM ...where does the line that has the check valve from the valve cover connect to...
Referring on photo enclosed by yourself at the beginning: it's 'under' the yellow line connection into the TB. Check valves directions toward TB (if you disconnect the line at the valve cover you must be able to blow but not suck the air through it).

The 7 is the valve that goes offline.
The tube before the throttle, is blocked:

The tube coming from the valve:
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/2373/cableposit.png
goes directly to the intake manifold, not the throttle.
This image seems to go online in the tube (red), not so.

Only need to touch the tube (blue), the red of the image No.

wahhabm 18-01-12, 12:49 PM I am more confused. Does it go to the blue nipple or red nipple in the diagram that is enclosed above?
zoli.m13 18-01-12, 01:32 PM Sorry David, your drawings are very professional, but difficult to understand these and make confusions me too...

Try to be clearer.

1. the tube is pulled out of depression (1), connect a short piece of pipe (5/6cm), cover the hole in the tube (eg a screw).
2. tube joins the point (2) to (3).

The idea is to make it as similar to the Trionic 5, without control by the ECU, preventing delays in throttle response.
