Really conflicted here.
Currently driving a '03 9-3 Vector /w 6 speed manual. Love the car, but the small size is starting to get to the family, and I have been looking at new cars (up until now, an A4).
I found a dealer 2 hours away that has a '11 9-5 Turbo4 Premium, Manual, with the Tech Package -- list at $47k. Has it on sale for $29,800. Is a demo car with 3k miles on it.
Black exterior, Black interior.
Biggest fears/catches I have :
1) Warranty issues. Said he can sell me a $100 deductible 4yr/50k warranty for $1600. But, what good will it be without parts?
2) No Navigation, No HK Stereo. I really wanted navi in my next car. Less for the actually navigation (can substitue that with my phone), but for for the extra tech in the car, and the look of the screen, versus the sort of spartan look without it. Am I really missing anything by not having Navi? Would love to jazz the look up down the road if anyone figures out how to make it fit.
3) Power of the 9-5 vs my 9-3. I LOVE the power that my 9-3 has with the 6-speed. Test drove a 9-5 today locally, but was an automatic. And it felt a little anemic coming off the line. I know it is a bigger car, but am I really giving up that much power? Will the manual tranny make that much of a difference? Ultimately, will I be happy with the how fun it is to drive, compared to the 9-3 I have now?
I put a hold on the car, and have to let him know Monday morning if I am going to pull the trigger.
Any thoughts or advice?
