Hi all:
I apologize if this has already been answered but I can't seem to find it! i have a 2009 9-5 and i want to replace gm "stock headunit with an aftermarket (Kenwood 9980HD) but retain the amp and speakers since it is the AS-3 stereo system and I think the sound is pretty good.
"installer.com" sells the Connects Two CTSSA001 "into car wiring harness" which is also identified as including a "saab steering wheel interface" for a "9-5 2008 and up". I know from some of the other posts that 9-3 owners have used this harness to sucessfully install an aftermarket unit in 2008 and up 9-3's. Therein lies my concern....I thought the wiring was different between the 2008 and up 9-3 and the 9-5? How can the same wiring harness be used for both? And the 64 million dollar question...has anyone with a 2008 or 2009 9-5 used the CTSSA001 harness to successfully install an aftermarket unit?

Sorry for all the questions but I can't seem to find the right post.....

PS I know I also need the Kenwood 9980 steering wheel patch and CT20SA03 Dash kit for mounting an aftermarket radio

I have a pioneer DVD something or other but the harness I used is an aftermarket Mercedes harness and all 9 speakers are still good, I did not opt for steering wheel controls however so I don't know aout that.
