I'm in the midst of replacing my fuel pump cartridge. I've sourced a new Walbro one and done all the disassembly of the old unit.
My question is that I can't work with the old hard plastic fuel lines and have sourced submersible fuel line to work in its place. The problem is that the smallest line I can get -- and what has been recommended by others who have done this -- is 5/16. The fittings are clearly 1/4 and the fit of the larger line over the barbs is sloppy. I *could* use the 5/16 and just crank down on the hose clamps but wonder if there is a better solution? All my local car part suppliers can't get me smaller submersible line.
Any recommendations for a better line option, or just run with what I've got?
