what do people recommend?
i've got a standard setup at the rear, with pagid grooved discs and pagid fast road pads at the front (on 1985 front handbrake T16S). However, the fronts are a bit squeaky, and i'm not convinced they offer much improvement over SAAB/textar pads..
should i go back to standard pads?
I'm very pleased with the EBC green stuff pads I fitted to my car. Much improved braking.
They only cost me £26. The only slight problem is that you have to drill the location holes very slightly because they are a capri/cortina fitment.
I've also got a set of EBC green stuff pads waiting to go in, still waiting on the discs...
I got the pads listed for the Saab (rear handbrake dunno if they're different) for £30 & grooved not drilled EBC discs for £55 each. I will let you know what I think of them as soon as they're in...
where did you get the disc's & pads??
Zenith motor sports in Swansea 01792462124 (speak to Tony). I forgot because I had them sent up here there was £10 quid more to add on postage.
Should be here on Tuesday I think.
The front pads for the rear handbraked Saabs are the same as one of the earlier BMW 3 series (can't remember if its the E30 or 36 though).
Unfortunately the pads for large calipers from the later 9000s are unique.
Ive got some ebc reds and goodridge hoses waiting to go on to vented front handbrake setup
my brakes arn't bad as standard but on hard driving/braking they have been known to fade
I seem to remember that the box my 9k t16 front pads came in sometimes stated merc 190 or porsche 924 as well as bmw
