Ok there are soo many threads about how to hook up a stereo.. i jus want to no what i need? like wiring harness and stuff.. and i have the stock pioneer system if that helps? Just like is there any wiring harness that you can just buy and hook up? or is the only way you can by splicing wires?
You can buy the official Saab aftermarket kit which consists of a single DIN slot with another single DIN sized cubby hole and a wiring loom adaptor. Its just plug and play from then on in. It looks like this...
Not quite. You need to splice some RCA ends onto the wiring adapter, otherwise you feed the amplified headunit signal into the stock amp, which causes all sorts of cracks and pops and other nasty sounds, and could possibly even damage it.
It seems Genuinesaab doesn't sell the kits anymore! I hope they are still available!
