I need to do the cat back and am debating if I should go with the BSR 2.5" or Custom Tubes Inc. 2.5" They are pretty much the same price, any one have any experience with both?
From what I understand there is no difference in the two. The 3.5" from what i heard is just to large of a diameter. The 2.5" will be a large enough diameter will handle all of the horsepower that you can throw at it.
I have the BSR on my car. It provides a very smooth and quiet tone when driving around normally. When you step on it, it hints at the car not being stock, but is still not too loud.
The CTI exhaust uses Magnaflow mufflers IIRC. It will probably be a bit louder than the BSR, but performance should be identical.
Thanks, think I will go with the BSR. I haven't compared pricing with local auto parts dealers but can't imagine that I would save much by using the cheap stuff.
BSR for sure. My only recommendation is to replace the supplied exhaust clamps with stainless ones. They rusted solid on me in only a few months of Canadian winter driving. The stainless ones, on the other hand, can be removed easily after several years of use!
