Has anybody compared actual 0-60 or 1/4 mile times before and after doing the APC and RRFPR mod? I am just interested in an actual mesureable difference.

I beleive that the standard figures are 10 secs for the 8v and 9 secs for the 16v - 0-60? Is this correct? So a 1/4 mile would roughly be 17 secs for 8v and 16 for 16v (guesstimate)??.

Is it possible to take an 8v to under 7 secs 0-60 with just APC mods (reliably!!)?

Sorry about all the questions, but I have not stared modding my 8v yet, and I want to know what is possible from the popular mods.

modded apc can give you up to 20 more hp which is quite a lot... plus it's a DIY mod so go for it.

The unmodified classic 900 UK 8v turbo has a stated 0-60 time of 8.7 seconds and the 16v is 7.9 seconds. I have an 8v and when it was unmodified I could manage it in about 9.5 seconds (not bad for a 194k mile car!). Now with APC disabled and a bleed valve I can get to 60 in 8.5 seconds (and my car is in need of tuning, so should be even quicker)

saabs are not dragsters, they are usualy horrible off the line, but we got the handling and the top end! took my old 1990 900s like 13 freakin seconds to hit 60, pretty lame, and the turbos doin it in 9 seconds, thats pityful..

0-60 for a 1988 SPG is 8.3 seconds. With a few simple engine mods on the SPG's you can get the time down 7 flat and even into the 6's. Saab turbo's have a lot of room to be as fast or even faster then other imports.

Biggest problem is the likelyhood of gearbox failure. UK Car mags have destroyed the boxes of several road test cars when attempting 0-60 launches.
