So I want to know what the differences are between my 1999 9-5 2.3T SE and a 2002 2.3T AERO besides the way it looks and interior. Dose it have different head gaskests? What's the difference between the motors? It has the TD04HL turbo in it right? I am thinking of putting a TD04HL in my car and need to figure out what I need to replace to make it work and I just want to know how diffrent the cars are. The aero has 250hp and mine has 170hp and diffrent turbo, thats about all I know. Can someone please elaborate for me. Thanks

1) Turbocharger different
2) Turbo inlet pipe is larger
3) Injectors are different (you'll have the old fat air flushed injectors)
4) Inlet manifold is different
5) Brake discs larger (you'll have the old 2 piece system)
6) Calliper carriers
7) Suspension lower/harder
8) 17" alloys
9) Larger ventilated rear discs
10) ECU
11) Newer style exhaust downpipe
12) Larger tailpipe
Ok so it has a different intake manifold, will the aero manifold bolt to my motor or dose anyone know a better aftermarket intake manifold? I will keep it stock for now unless I get a good deal on some parts. It has a little bigger exhaust and a little bigger air intake system too, dose the TD04HL turbo bolt right to the exhaust? I think I can get away with leaving all that stock too with a K&N filter. I think I will buy some Aero injectors. Dose anyone know some good after market injectors or someone who has some Aero injectors and what size would be good? I'm OK with the brakes I have and I like the softer suspention.
So I'm buying:
-a TD04HL.
- I think the stock turbo oil lines are good for it or I need some AERO ones, I can't remember.
-New injectors, aero or after market
-Aero tune or Aero ECU
- K&N filter
Thats it for now.
I'm hoping for 250HP or mabe 270HP. Do you think I can get that without straining my motor? Do you think it will still be reliable?
Forget changing the inlet manifold and injectors - you should have the red variety which are good for 290+ bhp anyway with a increased Fuel Pressure regulator. They are just as good as Aero ones.
In all honesty, get a TD04 which does fit the exhaust/manifold (will need oil/water lines - as they are slightly different + the banjo bolts)
Get the ECU tuned - Bingo 250bhp.
Get a 3" exhaust and a 3.5 bar FPR + tune Bingo 280-290bhp.
Only bother with new inlet manifold and injectors (which won't be Aero ones anyway) for 300bhp +
