Ok so Like i said I gave this mod a shot.. as I had no apparent problems with the boost with the stock setup. Doing this mod did seem to increase the boost a small amount. I was told to reattach the tube and suck/blow into the other end to test the top valve. I tried with just with my mouth (lol) and I could not force air in, or suck air out.. My question was, does this mean is faulty or working correctly.
Because if its still functioning, I'll plug it back in until it fails.
maybe i miss understood, or you did. There are 2 mods. One with the boost control valve and one with the bypass valve.
The boost control valve mod is that with the top hose (R niplle) plugged with a screw.
And the bypass valve mod, also showed in the link above.
OK, so here is the dealio... I just upgraded to the TD04 and I am also noticing a lack of full boost...should i attempt these mods? or should i actually replace the boost control valve and/or the bypass valve.
FYI: When reinstalling the hose (Tube) to the throttle body i snapped the part that clips to the bolt...you think this crack could have gone all the way, which is affecting my boost?? cause i was not having this issue before i swapped the turbos...
thanks
