heat proof tape on intake pipe to throttle body

Hi,

I've thought for a while about wrapping some of that heat proof tape/cloth people use on exhaust extractors, on the intake pipe from the turbo to the throttle body to protect it from heat. Anyone one done this or have any insights?

There can be a small advantage to do what you suggest.
Do not expect a huge improvement.
