Better intake (free flow air filter)
Better exhaust!!
After that your into real money things, head, cam, turbo etc....

If you only get 105 mph, then something isn't right! Do a complete tune-up, and see if it'll reach 120 mph - it should get pretty close to that.

ya i can get my 2.1 L 16 valve up to about 118 mph, u def should be able to get higher than 105 (in my friends Thunderbird he has a governor at 105, so i blew him away =) )

bendopp,
What did you add and how long did it take you? --- also, if you don't mind, how much did it cost?

I agree with Janne something isn't right because i've gotten my 2.3 liter non-turbo to 115 and it still had some power left!

I've just ordered some Magnecour Ignition leads for mine and a RRFPR, so hopefully these will give a bit more HP where it counts, after a proper tune that is, anyone in the Midlands region recommend a good tuning place?

Trent Saab would do a good if expensive job on the car.

Also possibly Severn Valley Motorsport might do. They are better known for fast turboed Fords but I'm sure I saw an advert in E&M or similar where they were advertising Saab tuning. It was a couple of years ago senility may be setting in now.

hi, is the top speed for the USA slower?
Than UK and rest of europe?

Slightly, yes. But this is only true when comparing the early cars where Euro-spec cars didn't have catalytic converters yet.
The date from which on catalytic converters were standard in all Saabs varies from country to country in Europe as well.
105 mph is still way too slow for a fuel injected Saab, even with it being US-spec car. A proper tune-up and a short session in a good dynamometer should bring the lost horses back, though.
