Nice job 8) ,
Pretty satisfied myself, with the BSR upgrade :P , also had a cruise control fitted :D . Now waiting for a suspension coil-over set :-? . Still wondering if changing my 16" wheels into 17" would impair riding comfort/road noise? :o
Thanks! :D
I went straight from 15" steel wheels to 17" Alloys. I don't find the road noise any worse and the handling and steering of the car was much improved just by changing the wheels before I fitted the suspension. I still don't think the ride is harsh even now with the 17" Alloys and the Koni suspension.

It looks sharp Simon.
I'm getting envious reading about your 9-5's evolution.

very nice Simon, mine will look the same in 3 days time (hopefully). I think I spoke to you on the phone re the Konis, but to remind me, what setting have you gone for on the Konis. ...IIRC it was one complete turn. Would like to confirm as,with the rears, there is no scope for adjustment on the car !
Looks good Simon - it certainly needed lowering with those 5 spoke wheels, lots of fresh air otherwise !
The car looks great Simon :! Completely transformed.

One full turn on the rears seems to be the popular choice :D
With your current upgradings, and my car is about to become comparable :D , do you think it's necessary to upgrade braking too?
The standard brakes aren't that wonderful on the 9-5, especially when it's equipped with an autobox. It may be a wise to upgrade the brakes to the aero spec or something like that.
I think the brakes are quite good, compared to my other car a Classic 900 Carlsson! When the pads need replacing I probably will fit fast road pads and when the discs need changing I will probably fit some grooved or drilled discs, but I'm in no rush...
Simon.
I got my ITG performance air filter from PFS (http://www.partsforsaabs.com/default.php?cPath=28_178) today so I'll be fitting that over the Christmas period :cheesy: 2 more Bhp? :cheesy:
Simon it is looking fantastic now!, you have got me thinking it's about time I started doing something with mine.
It depends what you want from the car Jim. Personally I couldn't live without the bits I have fitted. It's transformed the car into much, much more of a drivers car!

Hey Simon,
Really great looking 9-5. I just got an 04 Arc in the states and I'm looking at the BSR upgrade. While I should have just gone Aero, I didn't want to fork out the 5k extra for stock upgrades and with the engine displacement the same I should be able to get to the same point with a stage 1 upgrade? Does anybody have any experience with that. Taking the Arc which is rated at 220 and spinning it up past the AeroHOT 250 to 274? Is the Stage 1 limited to Aero only? Do you happen to know if the upgrade invalidates the warranty in the states?
Happy driving
John
I understand your car is a detuned Aero. An ECU upgrade not sanctioned by Saab would invalidate your warranty, but if you purchased a BSR PPC (http://www.partsforsaabs.com/bsr_ppc.php)Upgrade then you could return the car to it's standard state of tune when 'required' :D

Hey Simon,
Thanks for the note on PPC. Ya I guess every time it goes in for a checkup it would have to get reprogrammed. How about changing the suspesion, do you know if that also invalidates the warranty?
John
I would have thought so, but can't be sure. Best thing to do would be to check with your dealer.
