For $99 I got this:

Ikea Docent Entertainment unit. 11ft wide, 70 inches high.

For $200 I got the TV seen above (52" 720p RPTV JVC), Yamaha Speakers (the floorstanders seen) and a Yamaha Sub (not seen), and a TV Stand (sold it for $50 already).

Anyone else been able to get a steal of a deal recently?

Just last week I made my first craigslist purchase!

I found a heavy duty dehumidifier. Does 50 pints a day, only has a couple years on it, runs pretty quiet. Would cost ~$230 if I bought it brand new. Was asking $150, I Offered $100 and picked it up that night! Spending $100 on one at walmart would have gotten me a piece of crap that would do ~25 pints a day at best, and most in that price range get horrible reviews.

I also sold an old dog Kennel I had in the storage closet. Threw it on craigslist for $35. (Bought it for 70 and barely used it cause our dog outgrew it after a few months)... Some lady came and bought it that night with cash. Easy as pie.

I also found my apartment on it too. I Love it!

Love them dehumidifiers ! I bought one last fall (~ 35 pints/day) as our apartment can easily build up airborne moisture in the rooms if hot showers/baths did not have the ceiling fan going. The moisture was also creating some mildew around the window frames, not good for keeping allergens down for my wife and kid both of whom have moderate asthma. The one I bought has built-in hygrometer and I can set the desired humidity level and it would simply kick in/out automatically.

Sooo, yeah, Craigslist has been pretty good to me. :cheesy: And how on earth do I have a picture for almost ALL this stuff!? Haha. Not to mention all the people I've met through these transactions are very nice. Not like I'm adding them as Facebook friends as soon as I get home, but you get the idea...

1995 SAAB 9000CSE
2005 SAAB 9-5 Aero (Drove to Rhode Island for this one)
My Continental Snow Tires (Drove to Mass to pick them up)
The apartment that I live in now :)
It's a great way to find stuff and I use it quite a bit.

I got my dog on Craigslist. He turned out to be well-trained and sharp though a bit naggy.

Also bought my 900 there.

Don't think you can search through ALL of CL's individual sites from one place:

http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites

They prolly don't have a kick-a** server like SaabCentral does :cheesy:

The prostitute ads on Craigs and Yahoo (photos BMI>45) are absolutely hilarious here in my rural farming area, loved the one
with the Home Depot Nascar tattoo you-know-where:)

On a serious note i completed my Polk RT800i with a center channel speaker for $50 (MSRP 400) and almost thought i was taken
as no speaker one week later. It turned out guy was handicapped and needed a ride from neighbor, almost cried when it arrived
another week later packed in 3 layers, waterproof too.

Here's a score from colleague, Porsche Cayenne GTS 6-speed man with all extras for $48k with 12k miles, MSRP 90k, holy xxxx:)
He swears he'll never repeat it, as the angle gear went out 3 months out of warr, and Ferdinand's disciples are complete scalpers,
talk about $400 oil changes.

I've bought and sold a few sets of rims and tires, a craptastic home theater in a box (paid $40 4 years ago, and I'm just now starting to replace it), I gave away an old couch, and just tonight I picked up a brand new Apple keyboard (the nice metal one) for $20.

So far I haven't had any bad experiences or anything like that.
