Hey all. In order to check to see what my base boost is, can I just take out the fuse to the APC and run at full throttle 3500RPM in 3 or 4th?

Or the official Saab-way: Plug in a boost gauge with clear display of boost (psi/bar) if you don't already have one, drive on 3rd with a little less than 2000rpm, floor the pedal, and when you reach 3000rpm's, apply brakes and keep the full throttle. Boost gauge shows your base boost(with a functional system, applying the brakes will able base boost only).

really? I must try that. I took out the Fuse and drove just to try it, it came up to 4PSI, didn't hit 5-6.
SO i'm thinkin its off by 1-2 psi. With APC enabled i get max about 9-9.5PSI.

And yes i have a calibrated boost guage.

Really. However, try applying GENTLY the brakes, it's surprisingly hard with left foot, which is normally pressing the clutch :o :D You only need to illuminate the brake lights (this is where the APC circuit is connected to detect that brakes are on).

I tried that. No go.. I think thats only on the Trionic cars.
it just makes sense if the APC is turned off, it should be just base boost.
