Not all mods will void the warranty. The dealer may often try, and rely on the consumers not knowing their rights. They also assume that consumers won't go through the hassle of fighting the dealer either.

My advice is do what you want, but if you screw up the car, don't expect the dealer to fix it. If you put in an ECU and the radio goes dead, they can't void the warranty. If you lower the car and your turbo blows, it won't void that warranty. If you chip the car and your turbo blows, that probably won't be convered.

In any case, for more information see:

That's tough. :nono;

I understand SAAB Sweden will cover their parts under SAAB warranty, and Hirsch will cover the upgraded ECM unit under Hirsch warranty.

Apparently, this instruction is from SAAB Sweden, as Hirsch has been appointed their official product enhancement partner. So I think it should apply worldwide.

Have you checked with SAAB USA? It might be your dealer "pulling wool over your eyes". :o

The dealer wont be bothered unless it goes over the threshold that requires an adjuster to visit the car for an inspection (possibly artound 500ukp),then............they might have a problem.

I still wont take my Abbott R3 stickers off though :D
