Oh, and i wouldn't take any notice of the pic - they've just photochopped the 9-5 front onto a Holden Statesman

Damn, that's not cool.. I don't mind the idea of a large Saab.. But RWD and off of another GM platform.. Eh.. Will Saab EVER build their OWN car again???

What the... :nono; They're gonna build the Opel Insignia in Trollhättan? It's gonna be more of a Saab than the 9-2.

In the UK it's a Vauxhall Omega, and there not the best thing over here.

The Commodore is actually only a distant cousin to the Omega, Mike - its quite a different beast even though you can see some common styling cues between them

We're just receiving the new Holden Commodore here in the US as a re-badged Pontiac GTO.

It's been a long time since the US car consumer had a V8-powered two door full-sized coupe with some guts (310+ horsepower.) We can thank all of the marketing morons in Dearborne Michigan for thinking with their wallets and not with their patriotic hearts.

Now, seeing that same platform transformed into a Saab takes alot of imagination....

http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19981Which essentially is a Commodore. (same chassis anyway, and many, many shared parts).
