Looking at various websites, it seems that the options for 9000 Aero's all seem to be 1994 onwards. What options do I have for a 1993 model?!

I think possibly only Abbott Racing may be able to offer you something...

Maptun can also remap the ECUs- I have one from them, as well as one from Abbott. If you go the Maptun route, you will need to send yours to them as they are not so plentiful as 94 onwards, better though if you can find a spare from a scrappy and send that.

With Abbott you can either send it to them or take your car down there and they'll do it while u wait.

Thanks guys, I was just wondering if my options were limited to only '94 onwards.

Both Abbott and Maptun can supply upgrades for 1993 cars.

Who? They're not a recognised specialist Saab tuner that I've heard of. Trionic tuning is very specialised because of it's nature. I wouldn't entrust it to anyone other than a specialist with a proven track record.

Sorry, David, the "who?" part of my comment was referring to the fact that they're not a recognised Saab tuning specialist. I've used them myself for things like wastegate actuators but am not aware of any ECU upgrades they offer.

I believe folk like Superchips offer an upgrade for Saabs but as I said earlier, they're not a specialist and personally I wouldn't spend my money with them.

No problem. I think it was you that made the suggestion on a wastegate actuator elsewhere and I just wondered if anyone had tried them for anything else.

I've had discussions already with Maptun who even offered suggestions as to how to persuade the wife! :-) (Even though she's the one that got pulled for speeding in our Volvo estate and with the kids in the back - shocking!)
