Nick you probably know this...when I get the JT 3" turbo back system with sport cat and bigger intake pipe on my 2000 Aero automatic trans, is there a Speedparts stage 3 ECU for the automatic? Does it have the same power rating as the program for the manual trans stage 3?

Same power rating etc..
But as always your torque will be limited to 350nm on the aero...that is std torque rating so no amount of tuning will make this higher.

How is the Speedarts stage 3 claiming 460nm if it is limited to 350? Isnt that the point of a remapped ECU?I understand the TCM has a preset power limit but isnt that ignored or overridden by the remap?

The engine will put out 460nm...
but the TCM should tell the ecu to reduce this...
whether the remap over rides that, I'm not sure..
I know for a fact the stage 2 doesn't...
And I'm glad it doesn't... as the box exploding is not in my brief! :o

Stand alone transmission oil cooler...that seems to be the key. The remapped ECU provides the power outputs claimed and the factory TCM torque limits do not apply. 2 months now running 370NM and transmission fluid is fine, no signs of burning whatsoever. Stage 3 here I come! :cheesy:
