and the car started to run rough and sounds like it is misfiring. Is the the DI Cassette? Car has 90K miles.

How difficult to DIY on the V6. Found some info here on the I4.

Educating myself on readers- is my 1999 OBDII compliant? Once I get a reader where does it plug into.

You can get the code read at either an Autozone, Advance Auto or Pep boys. If it is the DI cassette it is a fairly simple procedure to replace yourself...

I would also replace the plugs IF you have to replace the DI cassette. Won't take that much more to do plus it's highly recommended. Just make sure you spray the plugs once you remove the DI cassette with WD 40 because there's a good chance you could break the plug in the head if the plugs are 'fused' after 90k miles... I speak from my personal experience... WD 40 works great if you spray and let soak.
