Hi, I drive a '97 2.0t
A few days ago I swapped the new style downpipe (with cat attached) with an old downpipe without cat.
The saying goes: If it aint broke, don't fix it! Now the check engine light comes on, flashing 6 times saying there is something wrong with the lambda.
I just removed the lambda and screwed it back in again nothing more, nothing less.
I find it strange because the lambdaprobe is mounted BEFORE the cat, so in theory it's not able to detect there is no cat. Yesterday I removed the lambdaprobe again to inspect it's wiring but it looks ok
Anyone got any ideas?
