How do I remove the back seat cushion and back in a 9000 sedan.

I can't find any obvious bolts/nuts.

You need to do a couple of things here.

1. In the middle of the bottom seat cushion, in between the lower and upper seats, there is a strap that is tucked away in there. If it has been frayed and shortened, like mine, I used some pliers to pull on it. When you do that, it releases the bottom cushion and allows it to come up. Now you have access to the bottom bolts of your back cushion.

2. There should be bolts on the bottom of the left side and right side. Just unbolt the bolts with 12mm I believe. it may be 10mm but I can't remember. When you have those two unbolted, but the bolts in a safe place.

3. Now, at the top of the back cushion, in the very left and right corner, you can pull back on the seat a little and expose two more bolts, one on each side. Use a wrench to get in there and undo those two bolts. Once you have done that, the back seat cushion should just come on out.

If you have any issues, give us a holler.

Just removed the seat in my '92 9000CD... this post was helpful, thanks!

The bolts (with washers) at the bottom came out with a 10mm socket.

On top, I had nuts that come out with a 13mm socket.

It clear that my seats hadn't come out for 20+ years. Ick. :)
