Hello im the son of 16 saabs so i dont have the knowledge of my father. I have a 9000 and my central locking worked but now does not. the fuse is fine but i cant seem to find the relay anywhere or control unit? and i have read could it be the master switch in the drivers door??? any help?
Control unit can be found by pulling back the kick panel in the driver's side footwell area. Black rectangle , approx 1 1/2" x 3". Some have found that reflowing the solder joints will bring it back to life.
My 9000 is up to 123k miles and I need to change the central locking switch mounted astride the lock barrel, for the second time. They obviously wear out if you don't have a wireless keyfob. In your shoes I would start by wiggling the key in the lock to try and make some contact from the remains of the switch, or pop the door panel off, trace the switch wires and make a temporary connection at the loom connector, just to prove that it is the switch. This has to be easier than diving under the dash.
BMACB is that drivers USA or UK have'nt found anything either yet,? trouble is I know where virtually anything on a 900 is but struggling on this:cheesy:
no problem found it thanks, but they are a different connection thanthe 900 so good job I have spare 9000 in the drive for a week
