Long shot here but would anyone have this part spare? It's just too expensive to buy these brand new and then add shipping from the online shops. I am willing to pay for a reasonable offer and any postage.
Lock Clips - 9266644
Used to hold the lock arm mechanism to the door panel. I need 1 but would pay extra to have 2. The shops want me to buy at least 5 grr. It's the little black plastic clip in the pic bellow.
I live in Tasmania, Australia and would really appreciate the help, I'm sick of my malfunctioning locks.
16 reads and no offers, I take it that's a "no, can't help". Bugger, gonna have to go the expensive route. Might just check by the wreckers first. Unless I wasn't specific enough about the part in question?
A nut and bolt could work, however, if I remember correctly my hands were too big to get behind to put on the nut. I used a nylon rivet, which I found at my local hardware store. Measure the hole and buy the tightest fitting one. Pay attention to which ones flare out the most on the tip, you want this one.

Ahh good point, I sometimes get in a frame of mind where I want everything to be the proper part.. Where here it seems an alternative part would probably to better than the original. I'll look into it ;-) Cheers for the advice.
nut and bolt work great, just make sure that everything is nice and tight, but still allows free movement... if you dont, you will end up with the same problem, and when you take yor door apart again, the nut and bolt wont be there... .dont ask me how i know...

HAHA. I've had bolts bouncing around inside the doors before, grr, such a pain.. I swear it's always due to dodgy repairs.
I will use plastic washers between to ease tension and also dampen any possibility of a rattle. I'm actually looking forward to doing this now. God I get thrills out of such little things
This thread is highly amusing. SAAB is giving these parts away at any price less than $25 just in internal costs of packaging and handling, almost regardless of how many you buy.
In Canada, these parts are available for CDN$1.10 each and are packaged in one's. SAAB dealers must lose about CDN$10 on every order for these just in the labour for their partsman to find and order the parts. SAAB must lose money on every part just in the cost of packaging let alone inventory and handling costs.
You should want to buy them five at a time. The costs to the SAAB network exceed the price you would pay for five or even 100 of these puppies.
Now SAAB is in bankruptcy you may discover just how much it costs to get these parts.
Cost effective practices for parts of this kind is to buy at least enough to do all four doors, two clips per door. The cost of the part is trivial.
Fabricating a replacement is absurd unless you have no choice.

$100AUS is a bit steep for 5 peices of plastic that obviously aren't up to the task. These should have been metal to begin with.
