I am thinking of fitting GY Eagle F1s to the car, just standard 9000CDi 90. Are they any good? Does any one know there spec?

I've got the F1 GSD3's fitted all round to my 9-5, very happy with them, great grip wet or dry, apparent good wear :D

Had some Eagle F1 GSD 2's on my Fiance's 325i and they are great tyres - unstickable in comparison to some other brands.......

You mean they can easily be unstuck? :o
I'm pricing up a set for the 90 at the moment. I love S-03s on the 9000 (never tried 15", though) but I'm looking for great performance at a decent price for this car. Howe Engineering were using them on their 99T at the Anglesey track day and reported that they gripped in the extremely wet conditions almost as if it were dry...

Eagle F1 GSD3s fitted to my T16S and much :D :D . They are a fantastic tyre in the wet, and good in the dry as well. Sidewalls aren't quite as stiff as the Bridgestone tyres so ride isn't too badly affected.

The fact that they were nearly £40 cheaper a corner compared to the S-03 sort of swung it, and they won Evo magazines tyre test.

I am looking for a quieter tyre, is that the F1?
I like the look of them, but are they noisey?
Cheers

Jim:

If you want a quiet tire with outstanding grip on wet and dry surface try Michelin MX2s. They also have a long tread life. Have them on my 9000CDE and are the best tires I have ever ridden on.

For a very quiet tyre that performs well, you could try Dunlop SP Sport 01. I have a set on my CSE (195/65/15) and they're the quietest tyre I've come across. I've taken the car around the Goodwood Motor Circuit on those tyres and can confirm they perform well.

They weren't at all expensive, either.

thats excellent, great picture as well, thats why I like the F1s, I think they look great.
My car is still nice and quiet, the only moan is the road noise, but I do like a bit of turning ability as well, and living in Scotland, it does rain.
Cheers
