Hi can anyone please be so kind to tell me how to turn off my alarm as the service alarm is showing and i do not know how to do the night panel thing to turn it onto doors only .The batteries are new and i think it may be a sensor . Also where is the actual siren .The car is a 98 9-5 2.0

Happy new year

Here's a good guide: http://www.twinsaabs.com/9-5_repair/siren_battery/intro.asp

Just disconnect the electrical connector and you're done!
You will keep getting the Service Theft Alarm messages every time you start the car now but at least the alarm will not be going off.

you can get it turned off by anyone with a Tech2 so you don't have to clear the message everytime.

The dealer will use a computer device called a tech2 to plug into your computer and disable your alarm. The service theft alarm will go away but when you lock your car, your horn will beep. The dealer charges a lot for this, they say min. half hour of labor which is nearly 80 dollars.

I personally would rather save my money and have learned to live with the theft alarm warning. I also hate when cars beep when you lock them.
