is it the trailing arm bushes??????
That was my first thought as those are the common ones to need replacing, but they should tell you what needs to be replaced in order to pass the test! No point guessing. There are a half dozen other bushes here & there in the rear suspension.

Yeah, I agree. Either ask the tester to be more specific or jack it up, remove the wheel and use a crowbar or similar to lever around the bushes; should be obvious. ('elf & safety, don't just rely on the jack, use axle stands as well).

i have found out what bush it it now, its the top bush on the trailing arm that connects to the upper transverse.
does anyone know what tool i can use to remove this bush, and put a new one in.??????
cheers
If it has a steel sleeve, you can always take a blowtorch (handheld propane type) to the rubber to burn it away. Then carefully use a hacksaw to cut through the sleeve, but NOT into the arm. Then use a drift punch and a hammer to bend the sleeve inward upon itself. Once it's bent in enough, you can tap it out the rest of the way. I've done countless bushes this way. If a polyurethane replacement is available, you need to grease all the bits and slide them in. If not, you'll need a press or perhaps a friendly garage that won't charge much to press the new bush in.
Of course this is not an option while the arm is on the car, unless you have a death wish.

i have found out what part is needed, the people who inspected it, had sprayed on the location of bush. its the bush that connects the upper transverse to the trailing arm. i went to the saab dealers and they gave me a GM part 90496700 but i searched about and this is a part for the vauxhall vectra B are they the same parts???

Most Saab running gear parts come with GM part numbers on them these days so my guess would be it is probably right.

Repair done thank god.
Bought myself a vectra Laser bush removal tool cost me £50 plus 4 bushes ment for ventra B but these are some cheap one, I’m not too sure about.
I purchase a GM part 90496700 from a dealer it's the same as Saab part number 4567244.
It's a killer of a job to do but got there in the end.
Tools needed
Jack and axle stands
lazer Vectra Bush removal tool £40 eBay
18mm 17mm spanner
18mm 17mm socket strong one maybe cast iron breaker
Breaker bar long and short
Screwdriver flat head
Hammer
Blow torch
How's it done?
· Jack the car up use axle stands if you have them.
· Take the wheel off, lay undercar
· Get your screwdriver and remove the clip that stops the bolt from loosening
· Clean and crap from bolt loosen with long socket and wrench maybe breaker, any problems just heat it up and give it a turn, hammer bolt out
· I had a hard time getting this bush out but got there in the end, clean crap from around bush give it a spray of WD40.
· Get your lazer tool set it up and put in place.
· Heat up the surrounding trailing arm around bush, becarful to not burn any brake line.
· Once hot, get you breaker and socket, place a spanner on the end not turning, give it some welly and hope for the best, its hard going.
· One thing do not get upset and hit bush with the hammer, i done this and damaged the end of the bush, so i could not put the lazer tool bolt through. in the end i hand to hack saw the ends off so don't go hammer crazy...
· Once out get your new bush, do the reverse of above but without the blow torch.
