One of my headlights (Xenon) has been flickering on occasion and I think it is associated with a bumpy ride. Pretty sure it does not happen with the high beams on. I checked a connection just behind the headlight and everything seems fine. Is this a tell tale sign of the expensive headlight failing, or can I tighten something inside?

We had one of those in the shop the other day ... the bulb was failing.
What does a new bulb cost these days?
About $200 each at the dealer. Much less expensive from other sources and eBay. I think you should be able to find a pair for about $150-175. Make sure to get the good ones (Phillips or Osram) and replace both at the same time.

I thought I needed a new bulb a few weeks ago so I did a little shopping before finding the real source (http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143387). I noticed THESE (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-xenon-replacement-bulbs-D1R-D1S-BMW-SAAB-Audi-VW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q 7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a 1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem4 00000924400QQitemZ400000924400QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5f TruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories) on ebay for about 100 shipped. It says qty of 1 but includes both bulbs in the description. May be worth looking into.
