Hello everyone I am new to the saab community but I already love it! I recently bought a 2000 9-3 se convertible and I wanted to replace the speakers (High end bass was muddy). I replaced the woofers in the doors (easy enough) and then I went about trying to figure the rear speakers out... I haven't the foggiest. I someone could even point me in the right direction it would be very helpful. Thanks!

Hey I got everything replaced in my car except the rear speakers. I went to a car audio shop to have it done and they couldn't do it in the time frame I had. It would take them all day to get to the speakers and install new ones. The guy there said they have to remove the whole soft top just to get access to the speakers which sounds like a PITA. He is suppose to call me back once he gets confirmation on what he has to do. Ill let you know if you would like. I have to go back and finally finish my stereo :)

Remove the top. What a load of hooey. Just remove the two rear panels. See here (http://particlesalad.com/saab/). It must have taken me an hour, tops, to upgrade both. The NG 900 and OG 9-3 are virtually identical for this operation. Ryan, you need a new car audio shop, like NOW.

wow that does look simple enough that I could do it.... Thanks for the info and I am a little embarrassed that I even posted earlier haha. Looks like I will be finding someone new to put my speakers in.
