View Full Version : Servicing a 9-7X at a non-Saab shop?
Is it possible to service a 9-7X at a GM shop/dealer that is not a Saab one (GM/Buick/Chevy)? Or at least emergency repairs if needed? I''m considering a 9-7X, but I''m in a place where there are no Saab dealers here, the closest one is about 140 miles down in Phoenix, so I was wondering of they can be serviced at a GM dealer or at least an emergency repair (like a damaged light or minor engine trouble)?

I would just call the dealer and ask...I am guessing the 9-7x shares 95% of the parts with the rest of GM midsize SUVs.
You can service it anywhere, but to take advantage of warranty and free maintenance it will have to be at a saab dealer

I actually called around a number of months back with this same Q. I contacted Chevy, GMC and Buick dealers here locally.
I was turned down flatly.
My '05 is still under warranty so this was pretty much the reason for the turn-down. Only Saab dealers with do Saab warranty work and/or the covered maintenance stuff.
If repairs are on your dime, however, you can take it anywhere you want to.
