: RICA ECU upgrade

Has anyone had any experience with RICA's ECU upgrade.

I've spoken to them regarding my 2000 Aero and they reckon on 275BHP for a stage 1 upgrade without the need for a replacement air filter or exhaust.

They also include rolling road time as proof all for 590 inc VAT.

I'm seriously considering taking the plunge but I'd welcome any feedback as to how it compares to the more well known options from Speedparts and Abbott.

I have to admit I'm fairly new to the world of SAAB tuning but RICA do a pretty good upgrade for my previous car, A volvo C70 T-5. (from 240 to 310 BHP stage 1!)

They are a dutch company (with a UK distributor) who are farily well respected within Volvo tuning circles but I have no knowledge on how good their SAAB upgrades are.

Their UK distributors web site is

I have found a customer report... which basically does not paint a good picture..

I'd stick with SAAB specific tuners if I was you...
Speedparts, maptun, BSR, abbott, nordic, Hirsch..
All well respected in the saab arena of tuning!
