: Difficulty of changing crankshaft seal?

Spent some time on my Saab over the weekend and found that the source of my fluid leak is the crankshaft. It appears that the seal for the main pulley (with two belts on it (?)) is leaking, during running it leaks and then after shutting down the engine it continues for a few minutes then finally slows to a stop.
I am just getting familiar with working on the car, and am impressed with Saab's engineering - but not sure how difficult a job it is to get to the crankshaft seal(s). Can someone give me some guidance?

May consider taking it in to a shop in Winston Salem, NC area for this job. If so, how much should I expect to pay?

Thanks
Tom

Its pretty easy and it shouldn't take a competent mechanic very long. That being said...there's no telling what they may charge you or what else they may 'find' that needs replacing.
