Just before my wife took her 9-7X for a repair appointment, I discovered none of the 3 12V Cigarette Lighter Sockets worked. I recently purchased new radar detectors for each of our vehicles and that was how I discovered the sockets were INOP. First thing, I checked was Engine Compartment #13 Fuse (Cigar Lighter) IAW the owners manual and it was fine.

Upon return from her 3 hour drive back from the Seattle appointment, I noticed that the detector was still lit up after she had turned off and locked her SUV. In my 9-3, the detector shuts off when I turn off the car.

- I placed the detector in battery save mode so that it automatically shuts off after 3 hours.

- I reviewed the owners manual, no help.

- I reviewed the Service Invoice and found that the solution was replacing the #46 Fuse (Auxiliary Power 1) under the rear seat.

Is constant power from those sockets normal?
