ok, I must admit I am a bit stumped here.. Usuals are air filter, sparks and hoses.

But with so much engine managment in this car, what are my options for more BHP?

M98 2.0 LPT

Imagine money was no object!

The 2.0 is quite weedy.......

Mine is a 2.0 and I have only managed to do this:

The upgrades:
* Custom NORDIC Software producing over 375 BHP with 495 Nm of torque
* Hybrid TD-04HL 18T 6# Clipped Vane Turbo
* Lightened Flywheel
* Quaiffe LSD
* Siemens Deka 630cc Fuel Injectors
* 3.5 Bar FPR
* Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
* Abbott Racing Intercooler
* Abbott Racing Delivery Pipe
* Abbott Racing Race Catalytic Converter
* Abbott Racing Full 3" Stainless Steel Exhaust
* Genuine Saab Huge Intake (Cobra Pipe)
* Custom Fuel Rail
* Saab Racing (Ray Yang) Lightweight Crankshaft Pully
* Forge Dump Valve
* Ram Air Open Air Filter
* Full Hirsch Suspension Shocks and Springs
* Hirsch Rear Lip Spoiler
* 18" Stienmetz Alloys
* Brembo Four Pot Front Brakes
* Aero Vented Rear Brake Conversion
* EBC Redstuff Pads All Round

I'm just waiting to melt a piston so I can get a race engine with some decent power :p

only? ;)

I feel kinda hampered by the LPT and engine management.

worth just getting an FPT 2.3?

I was thinking of installing an intercooler.

What?

You need to do some reading fella!

The 2.0 is smoother and more economical than the 2.3 and just as tuneable.

If I recal, your 2.0 with a stage one ECU upgrade would have more bhp and torque than the equivalent year Aero.....

Oh dear, sorry... I have always had a 2.0 Saab engine.. and I assumed (I know) more was better.

I know, I was thinking the same... NY is about 5 hours behind? (I think) so you have time for a tea, or something stronger before the posting begins!
I could lock the thread now and pretend we've won :lol:

Not noticeable more economical and there is legend that smaller size make block more pron to deformation in very high power levels.

The shorter stroke of the 2.0 keeps the piston speeds in check with high revs. 7200 on the 2.3 is a bit much but that same piston speed was near 8500 on the 2.0 ;) Now the 2. will make a little more low end grunt that is always good coupled with a heavy car. We don't get the 2.0 9-5 over here so have not driven a stock 2.0 9-5. I have done lots of 2.0 and 2.3 900/9-3s My new big power car is a 2.0

There ya go - the weedy 2.0 rocks :cool:

:pI don't want to believe you!Why no body said that before me to spent a bulk of money for 2.3 conversion?
No matter, I have the Aero badge now!:cheesy:
