I am thinking about picking up a stock nav on Ebay. They go for under $1000. Aftermarket here in Sweden will set me back $2500-3000 + installation. The stock one is plug and play.

At www.gmnavdisc.com (http://www.gmnavdisc.com) there are only discs for US/Canada. Does anybody know if there is a disc with maps for Western Europe for the stock 9-7x nav?

Alternatively. I noticed that both the stock navigation in the 9-3 and 9-7x are manufactured by Delphi (https://delphi.com/shared/pdf/ppd/audio/au_tnr.pdf). Has anybody with both a 9-3 and 9-7x tried to put the 9-3 disc in the 9-7x nav? If it works I can just go to my local dealer and pic up the disc for the 9-3.

I recently purchased a Garmin nüvi 770 as a birthday gift for my wife. For mounting, I used a ProClip http://www.proclipusa.com/ specifically designed for her 9-7X. With North America and Europe Maps, bluetooth hands-free calling, and FM transmitterS traffic alerts she is absolutely spoiled.

Now I am dreaming of getting one for my 9-3 Arc.

So they changed it for the 9-7x? Its not the same as the ones in the Envoy or Trailblazer?

Interesting...

Yes the 9-7x/H3 one holds the navigation dvd and a cd at the same time.
