Replace Headlight Bulb but I broke...

The top plastic part of the plug exposing a little metal. The headlight works so I am wondering if this is something I need to worry about.

Shouldnt be much of a problem.. i guess its the connector extension inside the plastic which is exposed.. it will be better to just to tape it off to prevent moisture from rusting the exposed parts.. some anti rust can fix this i suppose?
