i want to put the biggest rims i can on my wagon but i dont want to add to much weight so i dont have to change my suspension and brakage. anyone got any suggestions?
hit me with some links and some pics. my saab is a wagon so im not going for power and performance its just to damn heavy, im going for looks, so hit me with some ideas. im going to do a sport drop of a 1.5 inches so keeep that in mind
Unsprung weight can do quite a bit to change braking, acceleration, and handling on a car.
I don't know if the original poster was talking about upgrading, or if he was just talking about change in the characteristics of braking and handling...
Either way, changes in unsprung weight will change certain aspects of a car's performance.
no were not making any progression in perf but i dont want a regression either i dont want to turn my finely tuned european auto into a daewoo. Im making lateral movements
no to change the subject but the biggest rim im "allowed" on websites is 19 would i be able to put a 20x7.5 without modification and rubbing? cause i know you can go 18x8.5 and 19x8. does that make sense?
Well don't knock um till you try them, I get an occasional broken spoke but I save tons of money with tires. But the warranty has replaced the struts 6 times already so I dunno might have to install leaf springs for longevity.
