Never seen a white 9-5 Aero in the flesh, tho this looks
obviously it would need a set of these...........
I'm thinking, paint the body strips white, it'd be like the negative of my current colour scheme.
I've found a couple advertised, both seem inexpensive, so it seems white is still an undesirable colour, good if you're looking, which I'm not quite, yet.
Cars are put into road tax bands depending on the Co2 emissions. The higher the Co2 emissions the higher the road tax. I believe pre 01 cars are exempt from the new banding groups.
We've seen lots of black cars with black wheels, now we need one of the Photoshop wizards to plug the white wheels onto a white car to see how it looks!
Slee_Stack's looks to be an '05 Aero in Polar White. The 98-00 vintage that started the thread would be Arctic White. Both great colors -especially with tinted windows.
Here's mine... posted yet again, overly proud parent i guess. thinking about tinting the windows... and would love to do the facelift to the '05 front fender but can't find one (and even if I did it wouldn't be in my budget).
I have a black '99 and a white '07 and still think the black looks great. But it is harder to keep looking clean. The white just doesn't show the dirt, water spots, or road salt like black does.
Zeb, you posted the same thing on the silver car thread!
Yes, black is tough to keep clean, but you ask me (IMHO) black is the best color for three reasons. First, no color shines better when clean and well waxed. You can either get a mirror like reflexion, or with different types of wax get a real slick wet look. No other color enhances these two looks as well. Second, I like the way the black car better matches the rub strips. Third, black better blends in the black looking areas/creases where the body panels come together or hood meets the car for a smoother look.
JMHO, and while black is a bear to keep clean, for these reasons I love the color.
Haven't seen a white 9-5 out here in the Middle East, funny because just about every other car is white!
Mine is 'Parchment Silver' (but looks light green to me).
Still a fairly uncommon car here in Dubai, but the local dealer is telling me (post my purchase) that they are leaving the showroom at a rate of about three a fortnight, so they must be hiding them somewhere.
The delaership here (I'm led to believe) also supplies the cops with their cars, so who knows, maybe Dubai Police will be sporting new 9-5 Aeros in the future...only not in white!

You are right about my repetetive posts...It requires less thought to simply respond with the same 8 words over and over rather than trying to come up with something clever to say....I like to stay in the game, but I think I've made my point. I bought my current car when it was 4 years old and it only had 12.5K miles on it...Despite the color, it was hard to resist. The car before was Merlot...I liked it, but I love the Charcoal, Silver, White and Huckleberry, or whatever that Coffee color is...Yes, Hazelnut. Maybe you would consider buying me out of the Black one as a backup, and I could go shopping......

Mine´s white, I´ll get a picture here soon. Those white rims are pretty cool!
Had a white 900 before, I only buy white cars for some reason
Dirt has never bothered me, there are car washes and waterhoses ...
The front is red though, many bugs out this time a year. Or perhaps, there were many bugs out before I met them!
always wanted a black one, couldnt wait for the right one to come along, hence ended up with a cosmic blue, no regrets now, colours grown on me, bugger to keep clean though, but she shines in the night even if dirty, couldnt ever go back to a white car, to much work to keep it white.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
