What are you doing in your 9-7 for ipod integration. The fm transmitter route sucks and because i have the Nav, some people telling me not to mess with it. Any suggestoins? what are others doing? (It's a lease, so i'm not going to swap the radio/nav)

No. I did it myself in under 10 minutes. You just remove the plastic cover under the glove-box. (See: http://www.trailblazerss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10896&hl=sirius)
There you will find the XM box. That is where you plug in the PIE thing. I have my Ipod in the glove box.

Thanks for all your help, i appreciate it. One last question on the install. Is there any splicing in volved or does the harness simplly connect in the golvebox? or do you need to feed it all the way back to the radio?

Butters, what year is your 9-7x? I've got a 2008 and am getting conflicting info from PIE on if this is compatable or not. Discountcarstereo.com won't confirm 08 compatibility either.

Its a 2006. I wonder what might have changed. My guess is nothing. The pictures on saabusa.com of the stereo/nav hasn't changed in the last couple of years.
If you remove the cover and have a look under the glove box, does it look like it does on trailblazerss.com above? Then I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Thanks. I found a dealer locally that sells them, and he's willing to let me try it and return it if it doesn't work. Will cost me $20 more, but it's worth it.

I wound up getting this one:
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=305250&i=581PA11GM&search=usa+spec+ipod&tp=120&avf=N
Although it has to be plugged into the radio directly (it was very easy to do, took less than 20 minutes) it works great

Butters - I just purchased a 2006 9-7x this weekend and the first thing I want to do is hook up my ipod directly to the radio. Can you tell me the purpose of these two components? Will the sat radio still work after I make this change? Have you had any problems since making this installation with any of the other electrical systems?
Thanks.
