Which is the better option?

ok, I'm a noob to saabs. I'm wondering what the best option is for my modification route. I am pulling a dead engine out of my 99 9-5 LPT and was hoping to either throw in the aero ecu from an 00 with td04 or use my td05 and standalone from my other car. The saab is such a nice car that I think I don't want to cut the harness to play with the standalone. Is there tuning software available for the T7 that I can tune for my td05 myself or do I just need to try to follow an aero upgrade path? Since the car is without an engine right now the options are wide open for me.

yeah, I read all of that first and I really don't like the options. Looks like the aero swap is the easiest and cheapest. But I don't see the value in buying someone's "stage" computers to tune modifications I'm building myself (3inch dp, exhaust, charge pipes, and intercooler) and my setup will vary from the status quo. But if the staged T7 is smart enough to figure it out then maybe it would be worth a shot.

The B235R got better exhaust valves (they handle heat better), the TD04, and a beefier intake cam. That's the sum total of the hardware differences.

EDIT: and the bigger cobra pipe if you have one of the smaller ones.

If you are going past 300hp you may want to think about getting an aero engine straight off....I've heard they have some internal parts that are more robust. So it's not just a difference in the turbos.
Nah, the 2.0 revs smoother and is better on fuel economy ;)

Yeah, if you can score a nice B205 they're good and you don't need the displacement until you want to spool a GT30.
Thats what is in the Track car now
